Midstream College High School, Midstream College Primary School, and Midstream Ridge Primary School have a close bond and are a place where children from grades 1 to 12 can grow and prepare for the future in a dynamic environment. 2. Safe environment for our children

Our schools are within Midstream Estate, which means children can safely get to school on foot, by bicycle or even by scooter. Friendly, trained security guards help children cross pedestrian crossings safely and reduce parents’ stress about school traffic.

3. Parallel-medium and co-educational

English and Afrikaans are offered in parallel in mixed gender classes, so that our children get to know each other and their different cultures. This exposure prepares them for the diverse world in which they will live and work.

We unashamedly uphold Christian values. Each school day begins with scripture reading and prayer in the classroom, and hall meetings and staff meetings follow the same principle. The day ends with a prayer over the intercom – a way to integrate our faith into our daily routine.

Small class sizes mean more personalised attention. Our children perform exceptionally. In 2024, the best public school in Pretoria achieved 54 Mathematics distinctions with their 246 learners. Midstream College’s 162 Mathematics learners of 2024 achieved 77 distinctions!

7. Specialised curriculum

The IEB curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire learners. Our 2024 matriculants achieved more than 700 distinctions, making them sought after with universities and other tertiary institutions.

8. Comprehensive (holistic) approach

Our approach to education is balanced where academics, sport and culture go hand in hand. Our children are offered several opportunities to develop their full potential in numerous fields.

9. Technology

Our children have access to 10 computer centres that ensure they are exposed to robotics, computer skills and technology from Grade 1. They also learn how to use the internet safely and how to work with Microsoft software. In the junior grades they learn basic programming and in the senior grades how to program with JAVA.

10. Staff

With four doctorates and staff still in the process of further qualifying themselves, it is clear that the teachers are highly competent. Our teachers are passionate, dedicated and build a close relationship with their learners. Our children have the confidence to be themselves and the personal interaction with their teachers is an affirmation of this good relationship between teachers and children.

11. World class facilities

Top-class facilities enable our children to reach their full potential in sport and culture. Three swimming pools (one of which is indoor and heated), two hockey astros and 10 cricket and rugby fields, to name but a few, are at the disposal of our children. Midstream College has been the A-league swimming champions for the last two years and our primary schools often finish first and second.
