In grades 1 to 3, your child’s journey at Midstream begins in a safe and stimulating environment where they discover and develop essential skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

These early years focus on fostering a love for learning through playful activities and creative teaching methods. Learners are also introduced to sport and arts, promoting their physical, cognitive, and social development.

During this phase, a strong foundation is laid for both academic and personal growth while instilling values of collaboration, respect, and confidence.

In grades 4 to 6, learners investigate and become more independent in their studies, with an increased focus on academic challenges and critical thinking skills.

This phase emphasises leadership and teamwork, providing opportunities for learners to take on responsibilities and excel in both academics, sport and culture.

In grades 7 to 9, learners experience and mature into confident leaders, able to meet academic challenges and unlock their full potential.

The IEB curriculum expands to include subjects such as science, history, and technology, while sport, music, and other extra-curricular activities remain integral.

During this stage, learners are well-prepared for the challenges of high school.

In grades 10 to 12, this phase is marked by a strong focus on academics, preparing learners for university or the workforce through a specialised IEB curriculum and small classes that cater to individual needs.

Learners continue to develop leadership skills through sport, cultural activities, and international exchange programmes.

By the end of grade 12, they graduate not only with an IEB National Senior Certificate but also as self-assured young adults, ready to take on the world with confidence.
